Private online tutoring sessions
We provide students with one-on-one online tutoring sessions. Students inform the tutor at least 48 hours before the commencement of the tutoring session what topic needs to be covered. The tutor prepares a mini-presentation for the session, covering the most important theory with one or two examples. If the student does not have any specific queries or problems, the tutor will prepare work that still needs to be covered in class or revision exercises. Online tutoring sessions are conducted on various video conferencing platforms. Depending on the technical skills of the student, the quality of the internet connection and any specific preferences, a platform is chosen upon registration. This platform is used throughout the paid term of the student. If the student chooses to do so, he/she can request a change in the platform used for the tutoring.
It is important to note that will all the services and packages, an online registration fee of ZAR 100 is payable upfront. This is used to cover video conferencing costs as well as any other costs incurred during the tutoring term. Apart from the private online tutoring sessions, students also have the option of purchasing an additional package that includes continuous assessment opportunities. Mock tests, examinations and online quizzes are made available to registered students to aid with examination preparation, school tasks and assignments. GROUP ONLINE TUTORING SESSIONS
At Turtle & Rabbit Tutoring we facilitate group tutoring sessions for students who prefer not to attend these sessions alone (private). This setup also imitates the classroom environment at school, which is good for activation and stimulation of all the necessary senses. The major advantage with this type of tutoring, albeit not of educational value, is the significant amount of discount parents are receiving. Tutoring rates are reduced every increase of 5 students to the group. The group sessions area limited to 15 students, to try and keep everything within order. Let's look at the table below:

*The discount in the rates above is due to the customers that are willing to take out subscriptions with Turtle & Rabbit Tutoring. These discounts are carried throughout the packages and creates a big saving on each of the top tier products. It is important to note the difference between service and product. People won't be able to pay for a product than what they pay for something like service.
The student has an option of purchasing a 3-month subscription at a monthly rate i.e. 4 x 60-minute sessions.
Continuous Assessment Program
The continuous assessment package is available month-to-month or as an addition to an online tutoring subscription. Subscription packages are available at reduced rates. This package increases the quality of the student's tutoring experience, and will increase self-confidence and examination preparation considerably. It is important to note that the online assessments are not a replacement for the student's school work, and should be used in conjunction with the assessments done in class.
